"I've learned that finishing a marathon isn't just an athletic achievement.
It's a state of mind; a state of mind that says anything is possible."

It's sinking in....

So, it's one thing to put out there on the www that I'm going to run a marathon in 260 days. It's another thing when the people in my real life start talking about it to me! (I think I liked it!) :)

  1. Oh yeah, I forgot that for the sake of the reader who may not know me, I should mention that even though I really do have 100 pounds to lose, I have been pretty active for the past several years. I typically work out between 2 and 4 hours a week.

Around Thanksgiving I discovered a boxing gym near my house and have been doing that 2-4 times per week. I happened to get on wii fit today for the first time since starting that and was pleased to see a 5 pound weight loss.

For the record, this is NOT about losing weight. It is about developing a mental and physical discipline. Any weight loss that happens will be pure gravy! :)
